The Los Angeles Lashings, established in 2020, are a prominent team in Minor League Cricket (MiLC), the developmental league for Major League Cricket (MLC) in the United States. Co-owned by local Angelenos and cricket veterans Abhimanyu Rajp and Deepak Gosain, the Lashings have been instrumental in elevating the sport’s profile in the region.
Abhimanyu Rajp, a former USA national men’s cricket team player and vice-captain of the U19 USA team, brings a wealth of experience and passion to the partnership. Deepak Gosain, a respected figure in the local cricket scene and former captain of the Southern California Cricket Association, complements the leadership with his extensive knowledge and commitment to the sport.
Minor League Cricket serves as a critical platform for developing cricket talent in the U.S., featuring 26 teams across the country. Los Angeles was selected as one of the pioneer cities to represent a MiLC team, with the Lashings taking up the mantle to professionalize the sport locally.
