Terms & Policy
The policies that cover visiting our grounds, taking part in our programs and events, and how we handle your information — including how to start or stop hearing from us by text and email. Short, plain and meant to be read. Tap any policy to open it.
Visiting & Taking Part
2 policiesWhat to expect at our grounds and events, and the standards we hold everyone to.
Los Angeles Cricket plays and runs events at public parks and shared facilities, most of them operated by the City or County of Los Angeles or by a partner organisation. We are guests at these venues, and so is everyone who comes with us.
Always follow the posted signs, the venue’s own rules, and the instructions of facility staff and LAC organisers. If a posted rule and anything on this page ever disagree, the posted rule wins.
Watch the Game
Cricket balls travel fast and regularly leave the field of play. Stay behind boundaries, fences and nets, keep an eye on play while you are near a ground, and keep young children close to you. Do not walk across an active playing area.
Children
Children remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian at all times, including before and after any session. Please arrive and collect on time.
Parking & Belongings
Park only in marked spaces and follow all posted parking restrictions. Vehicles, equipment and personal belongings are left at your own risk.
Looking After the Place
- Take your litter with you, or use the bins provided.
- No alcohol, smoking, vaping or open flame where the venue prohibits it.
- Pets only where the venue allows them, and on a leash.
- Stay off prepared wickets and practice surfaces unless you are playing on them.
Weather & Cancellations
Sessions and events may be moved, shortened or cancelled for weather, heat, air quality, ground condition or a venue closure. The decision of the venue operator and the LAC organiser on the day is final. Where a paid session is cancelled, our Refund and Cancellation Policy applies.
Everyone Is Welcome — and Expected to Be Decent
Respect players, officials, volunteers, ground staff and other visitors. Anyone behaving unsafely, aggressively or disrespectfully may be asked to leave the venue.

Los Angeles Cricket sends text messages so people hear about a cancelled session or a changed ground in time to matter. You only get them if you ask for them.
You choose to join. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of registering, participating, or buying anything from us. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Good to Know
Delivery depends on your carrier and is not guaranteed; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Never rely on a text alone in an emergency — call 911. If you change your mobile number, let us know. We may change or end the program at any time.
Questions: teamla@losangelescricket.org.
We send email about fixtures and events, program registration, volunteering, and news from Los Angeles Cricket. You get it because you asked for it — by signing up on our website, at an event, or when you registered for a program.
What You Can Expect
- Occasional updates, not a daily stream.
- Every email says who it is from and includes an unsubscribe link.
- Email is separate from text messages — subscribing to one does not subscribe you to the other.
Unsubscribing
Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or write to teamla@losangelescricket.org and ask. It does not affect anything else about your involvement with LAC.
We may still send you a necessary message about something you specifically signed up for — a booking confirmation, a cancellation notice, or a refund — even if you have unsubscribed from our general email.
Your Address
We do not sell, rent, or trade email addresses. We share them only with the service that delivers our email for us, and only for that purpose. See our Privacy Policy.
Bookings & Commitments
2 policiesRefunds and cancellations, and how we try to run cricket responsibly.

- No refunds will be issued once the program has commenced.
Merchandise Purchases:
- Refunds or exchanges are available for unused, unopened merchandise returned within 30 days of purchase.

3. Steps to Request a Refund

Approved refunds will be issued via the original payment method used at the time of purchase. Refunds to credit or debit cards may take 3–5 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your financial institution.
5. If Cost Is the Obstacle
No child is turned away from LA Cricket over money. If a fee is the problem, write to us in confidence — we will see what we can do.
6. Changes or Updates to This Policy
Los Angeles Cricket reserves the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Updates will be posted on our website.

Los Angeles Cricket is committed to promoting sustainability and reducing our environmental impact in all cricket operations. We aim to build eco-friendly practices into our events, programs, and day-to-day activities, and to encourage our community to do the same.
What We Aim For
Reducing waste at events:
- Waste separated for recycling where the venue provides for it.
- Fewer single-use plastics, and reusable bottles and utensils encouraged.
- Digital tickets and programs instead of paper.
Eco-friendly practices:
- Refillable water stations at events where we can provide them.
- Working with vendors and sponsors who share the commitment.
- Talking about recycling and green habits with the people who come to our events.
Energy and resources:
- Energy-efficient equipment and lighting where it is ours to choose.
- Water-efficient irrigation on grounds we look after, and compliance with local drought restrictions.
- Kit and equipment repaired and passed on rather than replaced.
Community:
- Clean-up drives at cricket venues and the parks around them.
- Environmental awareness built into our youth programs.
- Working with local organisations on green initiatives.
How You Can Help
- Bring a reusable water bottle, cup and bag to events.
- Use the bins provided, and take with you anything you cannot recycle there.
- Carpool, take transit, or cycle to matches where you can.
- Pass outgrown kit back to us rather than binning it.
