It is with deep sorrow that we inform our supporters and the broader cricketing community that there will be no Minor League Cricket (MiLC) games held in Los Angeles for the 2025 season. Interest in Minor League Cricket has grown steadily in Los Angeles, and in 2024, the city proudly hosted 18 high-energy Western Division matches across two action-packed weekends—firmly establishing LA as a premier hub for Minor League cricket.

Bringing these matches to life requires extensive coordination between leagues, city departments, stakeholders, and venue partners. Despite the best efforts of both MiLC and Los Angeles Cricket, we have been unable to secure field access at the Sepulveda Basin Cricket Complex for the upcoming season. Due to an ongoing LADWP project, the number of available fields at the Basin has been reduced from four to two. According to the Southern California Cricket Association, the two remaining fields are fully committed to their recreational T20 league schedule, leaving no availability for MiLC matches. Additionally, no field time has been made available for team trials or practice sessions, further hampering our ability to conduct proper operations for the 2025 season. Los Angeles Lashings home games for the 2025 season will be played at other venues across the Western Division.

We understand and share in the community’s disappointment. The Lashings remain committed to the long-term vision of professional cricket in Los Angeles and will continue working with all stakeholders to bring Minor League matches—and a full slate of pro cricketing activity—back to our city in the near future. Thank you for your continued support.
