USA Cricket’s 2025 Election Voter List and Its Impact on Southern CaliforniaUSA Cricket recently released the list of eligible voters for its upcoming 2025 elections, prompting discussions within the Southern California cricket community. The region is home to more than 100+ adult league teams with at least four well-established leagues, each with 20+ teams or more, including the Southern California Cricket Association (SCCA)—one of the largest leagues in the country with over 50 teams and 1,000+ registered recreational players. However, only four (4) individuals from the entire region are listed as eligible voters. An oversight? We hope so.🌐 Follow Us:

❓ Understanding the Representation
For a region that has played a significant role in the development of USA Cricket, the number of recognized voters appears notably low. Leagues in Southern California, including SCCA, collect USA Cricket membership fees from clubs and players as part of their annual registrations. Given this, it is important for players and administrators to review their membership status and ensure that they are appropriately represented. Per the membership Portal: SCCA paid a total of $7000.00 to USA Cricket on Ausust 6th of 2024, with Ref ID: 0W00004257645083.The four total members from Southern California on the eligible voter list are: Surinderpal Singh (Bakersfield), Neel Shah (BNB), Nisrag Patel (Vijyata), and Pankaj Chaudhary (Redlands)📅 Peer Review Process for Voter List Verification
USA Cricket has announced a Peer Review Window from March 5 – March 14, 2025. During this period, members are encouraged to verify their details. If there are any discrepancies or if someone believes their eligibility has not been properly recorded, they can send an email to membership@usacricket.org with the subject:Subject: February 2025 Election – Peer Review Query by “YOUR NAME”Your email should include: Full Name, Membership ID, Contact Information, Details of the query or correction.Ensuring accurate representation in the voter list is essential, and this review process allows members an opportunity to confirm or correct their eligibility.🔍 Questions for Consideration
Players, administrators, and stakeholders may want to consider the following:- Am I a registered member of USA Cricket?
- If my league collected USA Cricket fees, is my membership reflected on the voter list?
- Where are these membership dues being allocated?
- How does the voter list represent the breadth of cricket participation in Southern California?
📢 Promoting Transparency and Participation
Membership and voting representation are key aspects of USA Cricket’s governance. If a league as large as SCCA—one that has a history of producing national-level players—has only four eligible voters, it is worth reviewing how voter representation is determined across all regions.✅ Steps for Players and League Administrators
- Verify Membership Status: If your name is not on the voter list, reach out to USA Cricket and your league administration for clarification.
- Encourage Transparency: If your league collects USA Cricket membership fees, ask for documentation ensuring they have been submitted properly.
- Engage with the Election Process: The elections will help shape the future of cricket in the U.S., making it important for all eligible members to participate.
- Raise Awareness: Share information with other league members and encourage them to check their voting status. The more engagement in the process, the more representative it will be.
